Quality Matters

How do CD’s compare toy mp3 audio quality?

Written By: admin - Jan• 26•12

Do CDs really sound better?

It depends on what you consider quality, and the sound equipment you listen on.

Generally speaking, most MP3s will sound very very close to CD quality – but many audio purists will suggest that the sound (whilst less clear) is a lot ‘richer’ on a Vinyl record (and to be honest I agree, Vinyl has a certain texture to the sound that MP3 and CD cannot replicate, although I imagine that an upgrade to the digital standards to allow a wider range of notes would fix this.)

Having said that (sorry I got distracted) MP3 is a ‘lossy’ compression so theoretically CDs should sound better – but depending on the compression rate, very few people can tell the difference. (I personally can’t).

Looking for a girth strap that stretches?

Written By: admin - Jan• 26•12

I just bought my first horse. She’s a 4 yr. old Quarterhorse and needs a little finishing. A friend of mine told me about this great web site that you can buy quality tack from at lower prices. Something about Country Store???? Anyhow she has this really nice girth strap that stretches and it’s kinder to your horse. I think it’s neoprene but I’m not sure. Any suggestions for tack web sites and a really nice girth strap?
Thanks!

Do you think SIGARMS have gone downhill in term of quality control?

Written By: admin - Jan• 26•12

For those that fimiliar with SIGARMS products. Do you think they have gone downhill in terms of quality? Lately I’ve notice a lot of people (mostly LE officers) talk about poor Quality Control of SIGARMS.

It seem like the US branch of SIG isn’t as high quality as the German branch (J.P. Sauer&Sohn)

I have never been a big fan of Sig.. But I have to agree they have gotten worse.

The Big Idea
Every camera strap and sling on the market comes with tradeoffs. Regular neck straps are convenient and secure, but aren’t comfortable all day. Slings are comfortable and fast, but sacrifice stability which can result in your camera bouncing about. As we watched photographers use straps and slings—including our own—we wondered if we could reset the balance of stability and comfort by introducing flexibility and versatility into the equation.

We went to the drawing board with one goal: Make a camera strap that lets you easily change how you carry your camera on-the-fly. Make one that allows you to snug your camera against your back so that you can move actively without it bouncing about, then easily transition to letting it comfortably rest at your side, ready to slide up to your eye in an instant. A strap that you can hang around your neck for a couple of minutes while you change lenses and which can hug your camera to your chest while sitting down. And to do all that while using proven connections that are compatible with tripod quick release plates.

The result is Cinch. It’s like no other strap out there.

Comfort
Cinch features is a soft, stretchy and strong neoprene shoulder pad. Our unique CZZ (Center ZigZag) construction allows Cinch to conform to any curve and distribute weight. Other shoulder pads attain comfort by being curved around a specific portion of your body; Cinch’s pad is comfortable at any position and with no need to center it on your neck or shoulder. It’s rolled edges make it comfortable against your neck. It’s comfortable on bare skin. You’ve got to feel it to be believe it.

Stability
Cinch carries your camera in a different way than traditional straps or slings. It attaches to a top bracket—left or right, Cinch is ambidextrous—and the tripod socket. The result is that your camera in a “down and in” position that hugs your body and keeps your camera stable. It uses the same proven and reliable 10mm webbing connections you’re used to using from other straps and the low-profile CinchMount socket adapter (one is included with every Cinch) fastens securely and won’t twist loose. No fiddly carabiners or fussy connectors.

Have a tripod quick-release plate? Many have strap mount points that Cinch can connect to directly. If you have a plate that doesn’t have a strap mount point, such as Manfrotto plates, we’ll have you covered with a solution in a few weeks.

Flexibility and Versatility
The breakthrough in Cinch’s design is its friction-based pull-tab adjuster on the front. It’s so important we laser engrave our name on it. You can grab the tab and instantly tighten and loosen Cinch on-the-fly. Want your camera close while you walk through a crowd? Grab the tab and tighten it a bit. Need to be ready for a quick shot? Loosen Cinch and it’s as quick as a sling. Going out for a hike? Pull the tab and rotate the camera to your back where it will stay glued to you while scrambling over rocks. Want to tighten Cinch down to provide stability for long shots? You can do that too, as we found out from watching our testers.

Easy Sizing and Fit
We know that photographers come in all shapes and sizes. So we make Cinch in three sizes. If you wear an adult M, L, or XL shirt, you should get our regular Cinch. If you’re on the petite side, you should get a Small Cinch. If you wear XL or larger shirts, then get a Big Cinch. But don’t stress out too much about your choice. Thanks to its flexible nature and the fact that we’ve given the sizes a considerable amount of overlap in adjustment, you’ll certainly make the right choice right off the bat.

Once you have it in hand, fitting Cinch is easy. Just put your Cinch over your shoulder, loosen the pull tab adjuster and the use the rear metal adjuster until your camera is positioned just right. If needed, you can also tighten or loosen the 10mm webbing that connects to your camera to adjust things to perfection. Once set up, the front pull tab adjuster gives you just the right amount of on-the-fly adjustments to keep up with any day of photography.

Quality
Cinch is like no other camera strap available today and we’ve never built any of our products like anyone else. Cinch’s shoulder pad is reenforced with mil-spec mechanical stretch webbing and easily holds over 250lbs. Edges are all finished with die-cut, full grain American leather. The polymer camera connectors and webbing are all the same kind that NASA specifies and flies. Our metal hardware is all CNC machined aerospace grade aluminum. For the geeks out there, it’s 6061-T6 that’s been Type II anodized. CinchMount is black-oxide finished ordinance steel.

We don’t skimp on anything. It’s simply not in our nature. Even the smallest of details has been lovingly designed for maximum utility and enjoyment.

Devalued Navigational Links: Quality Content with Contextual Link Works Wonder

Written By: admin - Jan• 24•12

Rank algorithm update from google weeded out a lot of good or bad websites,   in the hope of offering it’s search users better results, on official google blog it is estimated 11.8% search results will be affected by this update, put it this way, there are about 12% of google search results are considered low quality by google itself. Google started this change almost one year ago, and recently I see some of my ranks were lowered considerably, on the other hand almost all keywords promoted by contextual links are not affected, a few of these keywords ranked better than ever, it’s safe to say that old way of link building is doomed.

Now what on earth is plain link building and how do people do it? There are a lot of SEO company out there are doing this, they add your links to those linking websites without context, these websites will only be updated when new links are being added, it’s safe to assume all of them are trash, we call these sites link spamming sites. The latest google update will definitely downgrade most if not all of these sites, all the links on those websites will have the same fate.

Maybe a few examples will make it clear. When I got into online marketing long time ago, I needed to rank the keyword, Tow Chain, at that time almost every body was doing plain linking campaign, lately I figured that every site in the campaign had way too many links, worst yet, those sites had no content at all. This strategy worked in the beginning, eventually the keyword could be found on first page, this was the case until google made the change. Here is another keyword, chain puller , most back links for this keyword are from articles and posts, not too many plain links have been built, now we have really good ranking for this keyword. Now contextual links win the battle, then what? It all boils down to content, as long as you dole out high quality content, you will attract readers as well as search engines. It’s never too late to build good blogs for business purpose, such as this interesting blog, best smartphones , I build it as a hobby and kept adding good or mediocre content, and to my surprise, I have high ranks for some of  competitive keywords. Now you can see, quality article marketing is much better than plain link building. Now imagine you have your own blog network, something like Trucking Accessories, then you will have a powerful weapon in your SEO arsenal.

Remember content is king, you just need to create content, get people to enjoy and share your stuff, in the mean time advertise your business with your content, this strategy will prevail in short or long term. The virtues, persistence and patience, are essential for your success, nothing will automatically improve overnight, it doesn’t matter you’re doing SEO or advertising your business, let’s keep building and maintaining our blogs until end of the day. One of the best articles directories is EzineArticle, a new article will be indexed and cached in less than an hour, popular blogs will get your post indexed as soon as you post it, here I am going to show you an article in article directory or on a blog, let’s look at this one, Grade 70 Chains , quality content, nice presentation, indexed by google, this article is a good example of article marketing.

By the way, the social media is the must have channel for your marketing effort. The Twitter tools is a wordpress plugin, you can install it, get a twitter account and API keys, set up API credentials in your twitter tools option, then make sure every new post will post a new tweet, it’s simple and elegant, it’s a big loss if you don’t use this tool.

Toy Box: A Great Place to Keep All the Toys

Written By: admin - Jan• 23•12

Toy Boxes have been around as long as there have been toys. Toy boxes were created out the need to have a functional container to store a child’s toys in. A place was needed to organize and store toys in to keep them neatly tucked away and out of harms way.

Earlier toy boxes were really just wooden crates or boxes that were rectangular or square in shape. A toy box today can come in all shapes, sizes, and colors although most are still a rectangular shape. A toy box can be made of wood, plastic or material. It can be made of any style or design. It can double as a piece of furniture like a bench where a child can sit and read a book. The lid of the toy box can provide a flat surface where they can place a game board or make their favorite projects.

A toy box can be simple in design with only one color or it can have your child’s favorite television character painted on it. They can also be hand painted family heirlooms. Any type of container that stores children’s toys can be considered a toy box. Since toy boxes are made for little people they are usually very sturdy and made of good quality. They can vary greatly in price depending on the style and material they are made of. Some toy boxes are made so they can be stackable and store easily and some are made to be part of a room’s design.

Nothing lights up a child’s face brighter than walking into a room and spotting a toy box, they just love to dig inside and explore all the different treasures a toy box can hold. Of course getting them to put all the toys back inside they toy box once they are done playing with them can sometimes prose a challenge. There are some preventative measures you can take to make this less of a problem.

First of all, you can do everything in your power to make the toy box special. One idea is to give it as a Christmas present. Wrap some presents up and put them inside the box. Then, wrap up the box and put it under the Christmas tree. Your child will love opening the box and finding the presents, and then opening each one. You can prompt the child to put the toys into the toy box until all the wrapping paper is disposed of so that they will not be thrown away. The child will see the logic of that.

Another way to make a toy box special is to take your child on a shopping trip to buy the toy box of their dreams. Go through catalogs or go online with your child to get ideas before you actually do your shopping. Even small children like to have a say in the decoration of their rooms. They are more likely to keep them clean when they have pride in the part they played putting it together. A toy box can be a happy addition to a child’s world.
