Verizon wireless is my provider and I’m due for a new phone and I’m considering one of the new smart phones. I’ve had the LG Envy phones for years and I like the keyboard, otherwise I cant brag about the phone, it has terrible sound quality. I’m looking to a smart phone for internet and app’s. Anyone have experience with smart phones and offer advice?
If you want a smartphone, but can’t give up the keyboard, you could get a Motorola droid 2. It has a slide out keyboard and you can use all your favorite apps! Once you get the phone, you can check out the Parlor.fm app–it’s a social networking app where you can chat with other people based on interests! I hope that helps, good luck with the new phone. Oh and you can check out Parlor.fm here: http://parlor.fm

I need smart phone advice.?
Could anyone recommend me a smart phone?
What I am looking for is for it to:
- work with Verizon or Sprint
- have an excellent camera that can shoot movies and work with Skype
- have Wi-Fi connectivity
- have android O/S
- full-featured web browser
- have corporate and personal email integration
- the screen visible in bright sunlight
Other feature that are not crucial, but nice-to have are:
- lightweight
- long battery life
- keyboard
- decent speaker quality
I’d love to switch to AT&T and get an iPhone, but AT&T does not have coverage in my home.
I have the iPhone 4 but since u said android and verizon/sprint.
I would say the Droid X
It has all the features your loooking 4, but if your willing 2 make the switch 2 at&t like I did the iPhone 4 all the way
Quality comparison BRAVIA vs AMOLED, Arc S vs Galaxy S 2 (both screens on 100% brightness)
This is the same video file played on both devices with brightness on both on 100% (as seen at the end of the video)
Whilst the AMOLED on the Samsung shows the colours more (overly) saturated, it loses a lot of definition compared to the Arc S’ Mobile Bravia Engine LED backlit LCD.

Nokia N9 white MeeGo smartphone hands-on
MobileBurn.com – Despite its classification as a dead product, Nokia went ahead and announced a new version of the venerable N9 today, a white model with 64GB of internal storage. The white version is exactly the same on the inside as the black, cyan, and magenta models, but it eschews the matte finish found on those for a glossier front. Thankfully, Nokia kept the build quality the same, with a single piece of machined polyurethane making up the body of the phone. Nokia says that the white N9 will be available in the same markets as the other colors before the end of this year.

what are some good smart-phones with great camera abilities?
i’m looking for a smart phone that has good quality picture taking; quick snap shots on moving targets. and of course. any models? i hear htc surround was descent but i’m not sure. please help. thanks
p.s- the auto-focus is a bit annoying because of how long it takes to take a good picture, i need one that has that quick snap shot ability.
nokia n8 is the best. U dont need to use the auto focus if u dont want to. There are free apps on ovi store like shutter pro and panorama and a very cheap paid app called camera pro which let u further change the settings to suit u.
